    The Chamber intends to honor the members of the Board of management of the previous session (sixteenth session) during the annual reception hosted by the Chamber under the patronage of his Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the eastern region on Sunday 7 December (15 0 1436). Chairman of the Chamber Board Abdulrahman Al-otaishan describes the move as an expression of appreciation to members of the former Governing Council, a symbolic gesture reflecting some gratitude and thanks for the great services of national interest and the national economy, and their prolific and sincere efforts in the interests of the business sector, and contribute to the development of the economies of the eastern region, and participate in the investigation and of a civilized Renaissance at all levels.

    Al Otaishan said that honoring the former Board members, aims to revive the value of work and achievement in the service of the nation, community service, that it reflects the respect and appreciation to the former Council achievements during the previous session (2010-2013), the resulting achievements of outcomes, including: the annual increase in the number of members and subscribers, rising from about 40,000 subscribers in 2009 to more than 42,000 subscribers in 2010, exceeding the 45.8 thousand subscribers in 2011 and continue to exceed REF. 46.9 thousand subscribers by 2012 even increased in 2013 to 54,000 subscribers, with significant expansion in the work room and activities to serve its subscribers in cities and provinces and the region where the number of centers and branches (16) centers and branches, covering all areas of the eastern region.

    Al Otaishan said that the Chamber got during the previous session of the Board of Directors of numerous awards at various levels, including: the best working environment and e-Government, and the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for best Arab initiative, and it made a marked increase in the number of research studies and consulting provided to participants, and that they all converge when one goal is to improve the performance of the private sector and to overcome obstacles to economic life. The Chamber is entered, in the past four years, the world of quality, and got a number of quality certificates outstanding, following many conditions and requirements, adding the certificates were renewed year after year, and accelerated events directly to subscribers, especially in the area of youth work, and small and medium enterprises and women entrepreneurs, as well as strategic sectors. The Chamber has several partnership agreements with many local and international institutions, with a view to the development of the eastern region and the development of the business sector in the region.
